The communities served by the HA: Ghana program are at high-risk for food insecurity and other health and human rights challenges. Supporting emergency needs for students connected with our current projects is one facet of our humanist response to COVID-19.

After successfully working for several years to reintegrate exiled women accused of witchcraft in the Northern Region of Ghana, we have now entered the next phase of the program. In the current program year we are working in the Cape Coast area continuing our livelihood support and training program by introducing and implementing two main projects: 1) our Vocational Training Project in Wiomoah, a suburb of Cape Coast; and 2) partnering with Services and Advocacy for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (SAPID), a school for students with disabilities, in reviving their learning bakery. HA: Ghana is also continuing to support a livelihood project with women in the camp for alleged witches in Kukuo in the Northern Region.
