By adding $410 to our earlier contribution of $3,390, we have funded a full four-year college scholarship for a Guatemalan high school scholar currently in the RWI program. These funds were drawn from contributions in the "Greatest Need" category for Q3.

We look forward to staying in touch with RWI and our Foundation Beyond Belief Scholar!

Watch this blog and the Humanity at Work newsletter throughout the fourth quarter for reports from these organizations about how our donations will be put to use. (Non-members may subscribe to our weekly newsletter at the top of this page.)

NOMINEES FOR FIRST QUARTER 2012 ARE NOW OPEN FOR DISCUSSION in the FBB Forums (must be logged in to access). Add your voice to help us build the best possible slate for January 1.

Excellent!

This is so encouraging, and I love that the Crisis Response Program has made a good start! I also love that Education is at the top of the chart! I wholeheartedly believe that many of the situations the Foundation seeks to remedy arise from ignorance and that effective education can indirectly help to alleviate these problems.

charity situation

Every year for about a decade, I have donated to the ACS through my company's yearly charity campaign. Due to the whole recent ACS situation.. I will not donate to ACS any longer. Instead, this year, I am making a donation to FBB instead. Quite unfortunate that ACS decided to follow a path of bigotry. I will gladly donate to other cancer charities going forward. Ones that aren't bigots.

nominate a cancer society

If you can think of any that might be more supporting of our worldview, you should nominate them, and we can check them out!  I agree that it would be great to support a cancer charity, and if you have one in mind, that would be awesome!  Just go to http://foundationbeyondbelief.org/nominate
