Compassionate Impact Grant 2.0 – Request for Proposals
by AJ Chalom, Humanist Giving Program Coordinator
Last fall we announced an update to our Humanist Giving program: While continuing to use our standard giving practice of supporting five beneficiaries during some quarters, we would also explore focusing one capacity-building grant on an evidence-driven program at an amazing charity. Thus the Compassionate Impact Grant was born.
The goal of this initiative is to increase the reach of a nonprofit organization that is developing or broadening potentially transformative evidence-based social innovations that solve critical community problems.
In October 2014, we selected Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative to receive the first Compassionate Impact Grant in order to expand their Fair Chance for Family Success program. The expansion of this program will continue into 2015 with financial assistance from Foundation Beyond Belief.
We are once again inviting organizations to participate in an open, competitive application process, with applicants assessed based on their ability to provide evidence-driven, innovative solutions that expanded the organization’s reach.
To apply for this grant and learn more about the program, visit the Compassionate Impact Grant program page. The deadline to apply is February 6, 2015, at 11:59:59 pm Eastern time.
