beneficiary-2011-q3-logo-camp-questFoundation Beyond Belief is thrilled to announce that Camp Quest is the most recent Small Grant Awardee of our Humanist Giving Program.

Camp Quest is the first residential summer camp in the history of the United States for the children of atheists, freethinkers, and humanists or whomever else hold to a naturalistic, not supernatural world view.

The purpose of Camp Quest is to provide children of freethinking parents a residential summer camp dedicated to improving the human condition through rational inquiry, critical and creative thinking, scientific method, self-respect, ethics, competency, democracy, free speech, and the separation of religion and government guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States.

They provide an educational adventure shaped by fun, friends, and freethought, featuring science, natural wonder, and humanist values. While having fun, the kids are learning values of integrity, empathy, creativity, critical thinking, and community.  Camp Quest envisions a world in which children grow up exploring, thinking for themselves, connecting with their communities, and acting to make the most of life.

There are approximately 15 locations across the United States for one-week camps based on free inquiry, natural wonder and science-based learning including locations in California, Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Tennessee, and South Carolina, among others. FBB is  proud to support Camp Quest and it’s mission to support children in their pursuit of a naturalistic view of the world.

The Small Grant Award comes with a $1500 monetary award.  We thank our regular giving members of the Humanist Giving Program in providing the financial means to give this support.
