beneficiary-2013-q3-logo-hhgHesperian Health Guides creates and distributes information and educational tools that help all people take greater control over their health and work together to eliminate the underlying causes of poor health. Since the early 1970s, Hesperian has worked to accomplish this goal by producing and distributing health guides that provide critical information in easy-to-use formats.

Hesperian’s materials—which are available in print editions and multiple digital formats—are utilized by thousands of international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), ministries of health, community health workers (CHWs), and individuals worldwide to meet critical health needs. Hesperian’s open copyright policy intentionally encourages users to localize their health materials as much as possible, in order to best meet the specific health and social needs of each community, whether it be in Mexico or Mozambique.

Hesperian’s most recognized publication, Where There Is No Doctor (WTND), has more than 3.5 million copies in print worldwide and has been translated into nearly 90 different languages. According to the World Health Organization, this resource is the most widely used public health manual in the world.

Foundation Beyond Belief is proud to support an established and relevant organization that provides vital information for communities without access to traditional health care.
