Since 2014, we have been fortunate to award three substantial grants for increasing the impact of innovative non-profits through program capacity building grants. Once again in 2017, FBB seeks to support organizations that are developing or broadening potentially transformative evidence-informed social innovations that solve critical community problems related to the problems faced between people and the natural world. The Compassionate Impact Grant Program is designed to provide a capacity-building grant for one such non-profit with potential multi-year support to greatly increase their impact on a critical community problem.

Foundation Beyond Belief will make a capacity building grant in the amount of $33,000 to $40,000 to one innovative organization. This is an open, competitive process with applicants assessed on their ability to provide evidence-driven, innovative solutions that reach different or larger numbers of constituents.

Only charitable organizations with a U.S. 501(c)3 IRS designation will be considered.

Foundation Beyond Belief will give priority to organizations that can establish that their approach targets one or more of the following focus areas within low-income communities:

  • Educational development – Providing education regarding natural environments, climate change, species protection, and local environments.  This educational development can be targeted to any age group.
  • Economic opportunity – Increasing economic opportunities through the development of small business or techniques to increase productivity using native, natural environments, or environmental technologies.
  • Healthy futures – Promoting healthy lifestyles, improving health infrastructures.  Programs should concentrate on improving connections between populations and local ecosystems, and concentrate on improving the health of a population.
