BBN October Team of the Month and Picture of the Month

By

BBN teams reported 35 events in October and over 1,500 hours of service! We picked Pikes Peak Atheists and Pikes Peak Atheist Families as our October Team of the Month. In conjunction with Creek Week, a nine-day cleanup initiative sponsored by the Fountain Creek Watershed District for Flood Control,  18 Pikes Peak Atheists got together to clean the group's adopted section of Sand Creek. 18 volunteers!

Pikes Peak Atheists and Pikes Peak Atheist Families also had their sixth volunteer day at Black Forest Animal Sanctuary in October, and 19 volunteers turned out to help rebuild fences, clean animal pens, groom animals, organize and move storage areas, and work on other general maintenance items for the farm. 19 volunteers! We may need to have Pikes Peak Atheists and Pikes Peak Atheist families write up a guide for getting great turnout at service events!

The BBN Picture of the Month for October was captured by South Texas Atheists for Reason (STAR) during a service event for Watershed Wise Warriors. We wouldn't even be surprised if the San Antonio River Authority wanted to use that photo to promote the Watershed Wise Warriors volunteering program!
