BBN oct 2018 Camden county humanists

Announcing our October BBN winners!

By

October’s Beyond Belief Network Picture of the Month comes from Camden County Humanists, in Blackwood, NJ. The winning photo is from their Light the Night Walk and fundraising effort for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year’s walk in October raised over $670 adding to the thousands Camden County Humanists have raised over the years for this wonderful charity. Great work Camden County Humanists!

A new member of our network, New Orleans Secular Humanist Association (NOSHA), is October’s Team of the Month. Back at their August monthly meeting, NOSHA had a speaker from UNITY of Greater New Orleans, an organization that houses hundreds of people living with disability and chronic homelessness people. UNITY mentioned that they collect donations including cleaning supplies, linens, and toiletries. NOSHA set up a collection for UNITY at their October monthly meeting and delivered a car full of supplies to UNITY the following week. The UNITY collection was in addition to NOSHA’s regular monthly collection food for the Second Harvest Food Bank at the monthly meetings. In October they collected 61 lbs for the food bank. We know both UNITY and Second Harvest Food Bank appreciate your support!

Our BBN teams are a great example why #WeNeedFBB. Because of your donations, FBB is able to provide support to our entire Beyond Belief Network. Please donate now at FBBGive.org to help us continue this work! Together we are #HumanismAtWork.
