The Humanist Crisis Response program of Foundation Beyond Belief serves as a focal point for the humanist response to major humanitarian crises. Our purpose is twofold: to bring resources to those in desperate need, and to raise awareness of that need in the humanist community and beyond. Photo: Sue Ogrocki, AP. Used with permission. EVENT DATE: May 20th, 2013 PROJECT LAUNCH: May 21st, 2013 SUMMARY: At 3:01 pm CT on May 20, a massive EF-5 tornado decimated the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore, OK. MORE ABOUT HUMANIST CRISIS RESPONSE
Because we live in a predictably unpredictable world, it will not be possible to feature every crisis that deserves attention. Please share your own ideas about how we might improve this effort. Please note: Foundation Beyond Belief does not retain any portion of donations to our beneficiaries. If you wish to support the efforts of FBB itself, we are always grateful for direct donations. Thanks! |
